Some people think Christianity is just about saying the sinner’s prayer and hoping for heaven after death. Others believe it's mainly about attending church and serving in ministry. Reading the Bible to truly know God feels optional to them.

But we believe Christianity is about knowing God, loving God, and making him known. Knowing God is the foundation of everything. It’s not optional—it’s essential. It should be the top priority in our daily lives. Without the true knowledge of God, there is no way we can worship him in spirit and in truth and we are still walking in darkness.

Therefore, let’s cultivate this mindset of “growing in the knowledge of God” and embrace this beautiful journey each day.

The reason to know God

3This is eternal life, that they should know you, the only true God, and him whom you sent, Jesus Christ.

Keep pressing on to know God

Prayer

Dear Heavenly Father, we confess that we have fallen short in seeking the knowledge of you. We no longer hunger for you as our appetite has ben dulled by the distractions of this world. In times of suffering, we find ourselves weak—because we lack knowledge of who you are.

Father God, may you give us the Spirit of wisdom and revelation so that we may know you better. Remove all distractions from our minds and help us focus on seeking you alone!

In the name of Jesus we pray. Amen!
